Summer is here and I am more than ready to bathe in rays and heat. I’m a true summer baby and I love basking in the warmth, glow, and magic that this season has to offer. What better way to welcome summer than with a pastel-toned beach shoot?
For this photo series I linked up with a super friendly and creative female photographer from Puerto Rico named Steph. We met through Instagram when she reached out to me saying she’d be in town and would like to shoot. After checking out her work I saw I really liked her beach photography and suggested we do that here in Toronto. I made a few local beach suggestions and we settled on Sugar Beach.
I typically only shoot in a location once and I shot here a while back for this post but I thought Steph’s perspective would provide a fresh take on the location and it definitely did. She mentioned she chose Sugar Beach because of it’s pink pastel umbrellas so I decided to keep the pastel theme going with a minty pastel suit. It contrasted nicely against the umbrellas while pink details in the fabric made the tones all come together.
I’ve been to a beach twice this month alone and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has to offer. I’ve spent the past month or two planting seeds that will come to bloom over the next few months and I’m really looking forward to what this summer will bring.
What are your plans for the summer? Travel, relaxation, or something else? Let me know in the comments or hit me up on Instagram and let’s chat.
