Exploring #The7TO: Toronto’s Newest Instagram Worthy Spot

It’s the middle of winter and there’s nothing I want to do more than stay in my house layered in a hoodie and leggings with the heat turned up. Currently Toronto is in the midst of a blizzard and polar vortex and there isn’t much that will get me venturing out in it. I guess that makes it the perfect time for The Bay to launch their new vibrant art exhibit, #The7TO.

Winter Wonderland

My preference when location scouting is typically outside and to be able to shoot in natural light. That’s why winter has always been the hardest season for me as a blogger. During this time I’m forced to find creative (and indoor) solutions. Enter Toronto’s newest and most Instagrammable spot: #The7To. Located on the 7th floor of The Bay’s downtown Queen Street location is a magical world of color, texture, and fun.

As soon as the elevator doors open, you automatically feel like you’ve been transported into a fantasy. There are seven distinct installations to explore. A jungle with a large T-Rex, a bird’s nest with golden eggs, a ball pit, a wedding pedestal with bells and cake slices, a silver balloon and disco ball room, a swirled black and white room, a rainbow room with a unicorn, and a blooming flower room.

Each has a different personality and I wanted to explore a few of them and style a few outfits to match. I hope you enjoy the looks and that the bright colors cheer you up in this otherwise dreary season. And if you’re in Toronto be sure to stop by the exhibit. It recently opened and is reported to stay open all winter. But get there early as it will surely be packed with visitors.
